MSM has a wonderful hub on their website with information about counseling and health services. To schedule an appointment with a counselor/therapist, click the drop-down menu 'To Schedule a Counseling Appointment.' Be patient if the counselors don't respond right away, they often are very busy with students. If you are persistent in making an appointment, you will find that the counselors at MSM are incredible, and sessions with them are covered through your MSM Health Insurance Plan.

MSM C.A.R.E Team
The C.A.R.E (Campus Assessment Response and Evaluation) Team at MSM exists to help those in distress on campus, particularly those who may pose a threat to themselves or others. If you feel like you or someone you know is experiencing the signs of distress listed on C.A.R.E's website, fill out C.A.R.E's referral form and the team will reach out with support and resources.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
The AFSP's support hub is an excellent guide for how to proceed in cases of suicide. Simply follow the appropriate link if you are having thoughts of suicide, worried that someone may be at risk of suicide, and more.
JED Mental Health Resource Center
This webpage has valuable information about various mental health topics, including how to cope with different issues, how to assist a loved one going through a mental health crisis, and more. JED specializes in dealing with mental health issues for young adults and teenagers.
Mental Health America
MHA has a great website dedicated to helping you find mental health treatment, whether it's in NYC or back home. They have interactive tools to help you determine what sort of treatment you should seek, and where you can find it. They also have helpful information about navigating the world of mental health treatment, including how to find options with a limited insurance plan.
